Andrea was attending a course in Pennsylvania so I took the opportunity to visit with Chris Morgan of KAATSU Global in Boston. We had a great few days, calling on sports teams and therapists who are using KAATSU in their training and treatments. I also got to play with production prototypes of the KAATSU B2 and C4 devices.
The B2 is a really nice device. I use my B1 every day, but I think I’m going to enjoy the B2 as much, and possibly more! The KAATSU C4 has a new LCD display that will be really nice – but I will miss being able to use my C3 with my eyes closed!
On my way back to PA, I had the chance to stop in to visit with Patrick Edgecomb, PT, DPT, OCS, and his wife Courtney Edgecomb, PT, DPT at their clinic in Madison, Conneticut. They were both quite busy, but Courtney graciously gave me a few hours of Patrick’s time 😉 Patrick’s been a long time KAATSU and BFR user and I’d wanted to connect with him for some time. We got to discuss how he’s been able to incorporate KAATSU into his practice, and the benefits and challenges that go along with it.
The next time I take a KAATSU trip out to Montreal or the East Coast, I’ll probably see what I can do to get back to see Chris in Boston. As good as online resources are, there’s nothing like having some hands-on, guided experiences with a KAATSU expert like Chris.Â
