Sometimes it seems like knees take more than their fair share of abuse. A torn ACL, ruptured meniscus, patellar tendinitis, or osteoarthritis can hamper your mobility and make life so much more challenging. Keeping knees healthy is an important thing to do, and it’s harder when you’ve had an injury.
High load resistance training is often what is prescribed to help take the stress and impact off the knee joint. If you’re in rehab, this is impossible until your injury has healed sufficiently to be able to start lifting heavily. In addition, people who have knee issues can also find it challenging to use sufficiently heavy weights or resistance to build up the muscles without causing pain in the knee. This can be especially true for those with osteoarthritis.
KAATSU allows users to build muscle while using light resistance. This allows people who otherwise can’t build strength by using higher loads to build muscle. Stronger muscles around the knee can lead to less pain and help the knee joint move more easily. If you’re dealing with knee issues and you’re not able to work out with higher levels of weights, consider giving KAATSU a try.
