KAATSU Canada will be attending FITSTOCK 2024: the Fit Collective Foundation’s fundraiser for Niagara’s Walker Family Cancer Centre. This is a 24 hour walk/run team relay event that is raising money this year specifically for breast cancer care. I will be there personally participating, as well as offering KAATSU for recovery to participants.
Why KAATSU for recovery?
The compression of the KAATSU Cycle causes a temporary engorgement of the blood vessels in the limbs. This forces blood through to the tiniest capillaries, carrying blood and nutrients to all the cells. When the KAATSU Cycle decompresses, the pressure built up in the blood vessels helps flush out the blood, carrying out waste products and carbon dioxide. This compression and decompression cycle helps the body’s natural recovery mechanisms, enabling a faster recovery.
In a team relay event like this, people will be on and off the course. During their downtime, they’ll be able to use KAATSU to help them recover so they’ll be able to go back onto the course fresher and more able to withstand the physical activity. I know from personal experience how much better I feel when I use KAATSU post-exercise, so I’m hoping to share that with as many participants as possible.
Since this is a fundraiser, I’d appreciate it if you could support the cause by donating here. I’ll be posting frequently on our social media channels during the event, so if you’d like to see how we’re doing, you can check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
