The KAATSU terminology of “double-stacking” refers to the use of KAATSU in Cycle mode while doing non-exercise tasks. Using KAATSU while doing office work, household chores, relaxing, or commuting would constitute double-stacking. While it seems counterintuitive to some that there could be any benefit to using KAATSU while doing such mundane activities, the reality is that double-stacking is an easy way to sustainably add KAATSU use to your daily schedule.
Double-Stacking Works Thanks to KAATSU Cycle Mode
KAATSU’s patented Cycle mode pressurizes the KAATSU AirBands for 30 seconds, then releases the pressure for 5 seconds, before re-pressurizing at a slightly higher pressure. The compression/decompression cycle is referred to as a step. KAATSU Cycle mode runs through 8 steps of pressure which constitutes one KAATSU Set.
If you’re relaxing and wearing KAATSU in Cycle mode, your veins and capillaries dilate during the compression phase, becoming engorged with blood. When the pressure releases, they naturally contract and push blood out of the limb. During the contraction phase, the endothelial cells that line your blood vessels release Nitric Oxide into your bloodstream, which helps improve vascular elasticity.
The picture above is of me double-stacking. I’m wearing the new KAATSU C4, and getting ready to send out some KAATSU C4 units to our customers. Using KAATSU during everyday tasks is what is referred to by double-stacking. While you’re not going to get the same effect as a workout, KAATSU is enhancing the effects of your physical activity. These incremental benefits accrue over time, helping you gradually improve your overall health with minimal effort. This is the beauty of KAATSU!
