The KAATSU C5 is the newest version of the C-series of KAATSU products. KAATSU Global has started shipping the first batch of units. The first C5 units for the Canadian market will ship near the end of July, and we expect to have them in stock locally on or around August 10th.
Coincidentally, my birthday is on or around August 10th, but I don't think KAATSU Global planned to make my shipment my birthday present. I hope I get something better 😉
If you missed my earlier post about what's new with the KAATSU C5, here's the short version:
- Swappable rechargeable battery - great for clinics & multi-user households
- Updates to internal components - expect to increase service life of device
- More programming flexibility - a boon for advanced & clinical users
- Attachment point for Lanyard - the C5 will include a basic lanyard as well
- New AirBands - engineered to be lighter and more comfortable
- Bigger bumpers - better fall protection
- Updated UI & Ability to Save Programs - easier to use for all users
Product updates are always to me. If you're new to KAATSU, none of these things will be changes. They'll just be normal. For those like me who got started on the KAATSU C3, Cycle 2.0, Nano, or Master devices, some of these changes are pretty significant.
I think the users who will benefit the most from these changes are clinics, sports teams, and multi-user households. The programming flexibility is helpful for more advanced users. Being able to pop in a fresh battery and charge all batteries overnight in an external charger is great when you're using the C5 with multiple people every day.
Now that we know our KAATSU C5 inventory will be arriving in a few weeks, we'll be starting to take orders for C5 equipment later this week. If you've been waiting to get into KAATSU, this is the time to do it! As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.
